Academic Year 2023-2024 Information

Enrollment is open and available throughout the academic year.

At this time we are only enrolling middle and high school students in grades 6 - 12.

MSAISnet is proud to partner with the MAIS to provide its member schools an opportunity to offer full-time online or blended learning as well as credit recovery course enrollments.

Fall 2023 term : August 8, 2023 - December 15, 2023.

Spring 2024 term : January 8, 2024 - May 10, 2024.

Summer 2024 term : May 13, 2024 - July 19, 2024.

Specific student enrollment start and end dates may vary, within these parameters, at the discretion of individual school administrators and upon the approval of the MSAISnet Program Administrator.

Hard dates are the contract open and close dates which are August 8, 2023 and July 19, 2024.

Enrollment extensions may only be granted by an MSAISnet administrator -- extension requests for consideration should be made to MSAISnet well in advance to the active end date and will only be considered if the active end date has not been reached.

The extension fee must be paid before the enrollment will be extended.

Credit Recovery:

The MSAISnet online credit recovery curriculum provides students the opportunity to achieve competency in a subject area, catch up with peers, and graduate on schedule. Courses are delivered in a fully online environment. Online credit recovery courses are effective because they are constructed using pre-unit diagnostic tools (adaptive assessments) to determine if the student is ready to move to the next unit. Using online curricula, students learn at their own pace. They can move quickly through material they have already mastered and spend more time on material they struggle with or that requires intervention from an instructor or mentor. Students may enroll in more than one credit recovery course at a time, per admin approval at their school. Courses are distinct by semester (ex: Algebra I, Semester A; .5 credit).

For academic year 2023-2024, MSAISnet offers Credit Recovery courses in two formats, both of which include full content and assessments:

  1. Online content with instruction by an online, subject area certified instructor. (courses are distinct by semester; ex: Algebra I, Semester A; .5 credit)

  2. Online content without instruction. In this format, the local school would assign a subject-area instructor as the instructor for the enrollment. That individual should review the MSAISnet Local Teacher Resources document found posted in the MAIS Post Office.

New Course Credit:

MSAISnet will continue to offer courses for new credit.  The entire MSAISnet catalog will be available with access to over 200 courses for middle and high school students.  Courses are distinct by semester (ex: Algebra I, Semester A would represent the .5 credit portion taken by a student during a typical fall semester).

New credit courses are offered as a complete package (with content and online instruction) as well as in a content-only variation whereby the online content, lessons, and assessments are provided and the local school utilizes its local subject-area certified teacher to moderate the course.  The content-only package is a cost-effective way to bring digital/online lessons and assessments to students and to provide local teachers with access to pre-developed digital content.  Those teachers should review the MSAISnet Local Teacher Resources document found posted in the MAIS Post Office. Students may enroll in more than one course, per admin approval at their school.
